The upcoming congress will be held at the Southwest Jiaotong University’s International Campus, located in the heart of Chengdu’s Eastern New District’s Central Innovation Zone.

Chengdu’s Eastern New District is a burgeoning area positioned as a hub for smart city initiatives. The International Campus itself is designed to be a future-oriented research facility focused on intelligent transport.

Coming to Chengdu

Chengdu has two international airports with direct flights to and from over 100 national and international destinations.

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (IATA: TFU)

TFU is an international airport which serves the area of Chengdu, China. It has direct passenger flights scheduled to 192 destinations in 31 countries.

The longest flight from Chengdu TFU is a 4466 mile (7187km) non-stop route to Los Angeles (LAX). This direct flight takes around 12 hours and 45 minutes and is operated by Sichuan Airlines. https://www.flightconnections.com/flights-from-chengdu-tfu

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (IATA: CTU)

CTU is an international airport which serves the Sichuan and Chengdu areas in China. It has flights scheduled to 78 destinations.

Notice on Visa Exemption Policy

From March 14, 2024 to December 31, 2025, China has decided to implement a unilateral visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from twelve countries:

  • Germany
  • France
  • Italy
  • the Netherlands
  • Spain
  • Malaysia
  • Switzerland
  • Ireland
  • Hungary
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Luxembourg

From July 01, 2024 to December 31, 2025, China has decided to extend the unilateral visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from the following three countries:

  • New Zealand
  • Australia
  • Poland

Citizens holding ordinary passports from the above countries who come to China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes for no more than 15 days can enter China without a visa. People from the above-mentioned countries who do not meet the conditions for visa exemption still need to apply for a visa before entering China.

Citizens of countries not listed above, or those planning a stay exceeding 15 days, will require a visa to enter China. Please kindly contact us. A letter of invitation for your visa application will be issued.
